Winter Hours

It’s that time of year again; winter is just around the corner, and with the snow comes winter hours for the library. Starting next Tuesdays Nov. 4th the library will be open the following hours.

Tuesdays: 12-5pm
Wednesday: 1-5pm
Thursdays and Fridays: 2-6 pm
Saturdays: 10am-2pm

There have been some minor changes made as you see, but the library will still be open 5 days a week. The weekly groups such as the knitting and scrap booking group will still be meeting at their regular times.

Library Update

The past week at the library we have many new additions to the collection. We have new books and audio books for everyone to check out. Some of these books are donations and I would like to thank everyone who has donated. If you are looking for large print books we have added around seven books to the large print collection. The authors included James Patterson and Danielle Steel.

We also have a new section in the library. Next to the audio books we have the Advance Reading Copy section. These are books that the Book Loft donated to the library and they are now looking for a good home. So stop by and see if there is a book that you would like to adopt. They are yours to keep, and then pass them along.

As promised I have started a new blog entitled Staff Picks, ( This is where Jodi and I will be highlighting books and movies that we have in the collection. It is just a place where everyone can go to see what we have here. This is not limited to just mine and Jodi’s picks, it can be yours as well. If there is a book you have read or a movie you have seen, and you want to share it with the community; write a short paragraph about the book/movie and email to me at and I’ll add your review to the blog.

Welcome to Jodi

I’m happy to announce that the library assistant opening has been filled. Jodi Magner, has accepted the position and is the new library assistant. I’m very happy that she has chosen to join our library, and I’m sure that she will receive the same warm welcome that I have. Next time you are in the area stop by and say hello to Jodi.

Book Club Books for Nov and Dec

Good Evening Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that the book club has chosen their next two books. For Friday November 7th they are reading ‘A Change of Heart’ by Jodi Picoult. In December on the 5th the book club will be reading ‘The Children’ by Edith Wharton, a wonderful local author. If you need a copy of either book please contact me at the library, either by phone or email. Both Fridays the book club meets at 6pm here at the library. We hope to see you there!

Thank You!

I would like to extend my thanks to Jean Stackhouse for the donation of several large print books to the library. They are a wonderful addition to the library, and soon will be in the large print collection.
